Pure-SX Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 (edited) don't go any lower then a few inches lower. King spring lows are like a 2" drop Edited September 12, 2007 by Pure-SX
gemzu Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 (edited) Down to spam up with Corolla chat - I see no reason why half my post was edited. Edited September 12, 2007 by gemzu
ancullen Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Don't use Super Lows - apparently they're like riding on bump stops - NOT good.
Pure-SX Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 :D Superlows :locked:. I have lows in the front with lows in rear. Rears have a coil cut out of them, worst ride I have been in, at least it looks good rofl. Wont be my problem for much longer hopefully, getting the efi system sorted out with the new fuel tank/lines then I may look at selling it for guess what..... ;)
ancullen Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 You have a coil cut out of those??? You'd be better off with Super Lows!!!
Pure-SX Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Hey I didn't do it and I ain't paying to get super lows. Gotta save my cash monies for a a a ADUB :locked: But I must say it does have a nice stance with a little tire tucked behind the guard, might scrub a little but meh :D Motorkhana will be fun for the tires, wheelspin on loose gravel=new tires ;) Meh there brand new ;)
gemzu Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 What am I looking at price wise for the Springs
ancullen Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I can source Lovells springs for you. $160 for front or rear ($320 total for car). Lows or SuperLows are the same price. And postage would be $55.
Pure-SX Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 (edited) Damn thats a pretty good price. I have seen king springs dearer, they would also be better than KS yeah? Edited September 12, 2007 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I can also get Racing Logic Hyper Series Coilovers for $1,650 including postage. Or I can get King Springs Super Lows for $240 plus postage. BTW - do you like the new Celica rims? They're 16's - don't know how wide though. Now I'll just need to buy some semi-slicks to suit them. :locked:
ancullen Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Don't know which company has better quality. But those King Springs are significantly cheaper, although it depends on postage costs.
gemzu Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Icky Rims Dunno will speak to L&S then decide. This was me shopping for the Headunit for Corolla Sales dude: or we have this one *points* Me: *mutters to Joe* It's ugly Joe: She doesn't like that one Sales dude: umm well ok....
ancullen Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 That sounds like a good idea - I think L&S are the local dealer for King or Lovells or something.
gemzu Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Heard bad things about putting Kings on a Corolla - better with Tein or something
Pure-SX Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 (edited) I have heard King Springs have tendency to sag. If I am to get an adub, I would get GOOD coilovers if money wasnt an issue , or koni adjustables with some nice springs But most probably coilovers. Just because of the ability to change every suspension parameter pretty much. Nice rims, havnt seen my mate that works at tire shop yet. Will ask him asap. Good thing about the aw11 is there is so much more that I can do to it then an ae82 lol. and it would be always betterer :locked: Edited September 12, 2007 by Pure-SX
