I have a ke70 S model which has the clock instead of the tacho

I want to buy a ke70 Instrumental cluster with the tacho but I'm not sure

if i it will plug straight in and work or i have to run a lead to the ignition coil.

handy ol Toyota's too much of a slacker, it was probably cheaper to make one loom than 2 (one for clock models and one for tacho)
