IPS Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 My daughter has managed to damage 3 out of 4 doors on her 1991 Corolla sedan and I have the oppotunity to buy the needed doors from a 1988 sedan. Question is, will they fit ? I know doors are expensive things to design and change and superficially they look about the same but can anyone tell me if they are interchangeable ? Alternatly, does anyone in Sydney have a RHF and 2 LH doors for a '92 model ? Thanks ! Quote
7shades Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 88 was a model changeover year... Hers is an AE90/92, first in the series of the sightly rounded shape corollas. an 88 model could be an ae90 (doors will fit) or ae82 (boxy looking dog ugly things, and doors won't fit) Best to check. towe001 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Oi, "dog ugly things" yeah right, more roomy then the ae9x dog ugly...... wash ya mouth out son :y: But i'm pretty sure that if you hit a few of the wreckers you should at least find one that'll be happy to help with finding it out Quote
7shades Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 meh... the hatch is ok... but the seca and sedan are designs I wouldn't exactly call "inspiring" But I wouldn't take my opinion too much to heart... I owned an RA40 liftback and liked it :y: Quote
