Fitting Xy Gt Mirrors To Ke26

hey guys, been tempted to buy sum repro teardrop gt mirrors from an XY to replace the standard mirrors on the wagon. iv seen them alot on mazdas etc but not sure how they would fit up. I'm guessing you would need to make new bolt holes in the doors to suit? has anyone fitted these before to any Ke's?

Looks similar to the ones on my rx7. I have different types actually (spare door was different). They just screw into the door anyway.

i got em on my ke20, theyre fukd! if you want em jsut to look good then theyre perfect, what i did with mine so i wouldnt have to bog up ugly holes, is put the drivers side door one in the holes from the old mirror, it sits really low cause theyre shaped weird, but you can jsut see to use it, the passenger however if you use the exact same measurements for the holes you will not see one thing it jsut points up randomly at nothing, and after trying to modify the bracket thing inside the mirror i got it so all i can see is the b pillar. if your willing to do body work to mount them is differently then different story otherwise i wish i jsut got fender mirrors.

If you use standard (non GT) XY mirror, they aren't the tear drop ones, they are HEAPS bigger, they will probably prove to be more useful....I personally love the KE3x/5x mirrors anyway.
