  1. Poz just informed me of this day and i would be keen to see what my POS is putting out. So is anyone from the SE or East keen on meeting at somewhere like the Todd Rd Servo/KFC and cruising the few kms to the dyno shop together? Would be a good chance to fuel up and get me there with at least half a tank :P
  2. I was in two minds when i posted. I just made brekky and wont make it there before the cars leave. So I'm out.
  3. Always good to see another Rotorolla in the build. The BP will be alot of fun in that car.
  4. Holley as pictured. It started weeping from the rubber gasket thats also part of the diaphragm. The Diaphragm itself was also very worn....just really stressed and worn out. I also used a Speco dial one that i had lying around to get me by. That also weeped from under the turn dial.
  5. Agreed. I was referring to 13BT's and the like. Although id like to see more than one example of E85 not making more power in NA situations. I've never really researched alot of street cars using E85. For me it was just a stop gap solution to my problem. I'm keen to hear more on the topic. Col - Good news about the extra fuel. I guess they have taken the extra fuel burn into consideration. I should add that i was running a nikki carby with paper seals and they were fine. The rubber in the regulator diaphragm and Holley carby lasted about 2 months or 4 tanks of fuel. So you may not have to worry about investing too much money in stuff that wont fail if you only need it to last 24hrs.
  6. I used it in the Rotorolla when going through emissions testing. - You have to run bigger jetting - I just drilled the mains about 0.3mm bigger. It was driveable enough to pass (i wasnt too fussed on making peak HP as it was just to pass testing) - You will burn approx 1/3 more fuel than ULP - You have to advance the timing - The E85 flogged out the rubber seals in my fuel pump and regulator. Most people I know of actually get more power if they have the car tuned specifically for E85 over ULP. However you use 1/3 more fuel for the same mileage, which in my opinion outweighs the cheaper cost of E85. So i'm not too sure its the perfect fuel to use for an economy race. Sure you get more power and its cheaper to fill up......but you will run out of fuel 1/3 sooner than ULP. I've always meant to trawl youtube for V8 Supercar Footage from the past. These days you always hear them talk about fuel burn per lap and how far the tank will get them before they have to pit. I'm interested to see how many laps they could stretch a full tank of Premium fuel compared to the E85 they use these days. Thats the kind of real life testing and data that will have the least 'bullcrap exaggeration' in it.
  7. I'm going to the Avalon AirShow....otherwise I would have been in for sure. I think theres a typo in the race times btw.
  8. I'm tipping its got either a V6 or V8 in it given his kits. I used Enkelman Consulting in Braeside. Approved VASS Signatory. Pretty fair and good to deal with.
  9. Better Options?.....Maybe However, if your into Rotaries and are dead keen on one then theres no other decision to be made. Anything is possible, so go make an appointment with an engineer and go discuss it. He/She will either knock it on the head or give you the go ahead. Worry about it after that.
  10. The Southern 80 has been postponed, so I may rock up to this afterall.
  11. I am astonished at how well it has come up, from what it was. I'm quite jealous of the bodywork and the paintjob considering it was done in your driveway. The looks that this car got on the GOR cruise wasnt surprising in the least. I'm still livered that my cam missed your super hektik crossed up airborne overtaking manouver, with smoke trails on landing like a 747. P.S. Your friends hot :P
  12. I'm uploading my Captain Slide footage to Youtube at the moment. On a side note, I just found my new Rego label for the corolla that I paid about a month ago. So I did the whole trip with an expired Rego Label......can't imagine that being a cheap fine if I happend to get pulled over.
  13. I have the footage of the Bumper cars and the footage of Ryan taking a Slide. I meant to ask Ryan last night if he wanted me to cover his plates in the Vid just incase it gets some unecessary attention. I'll start working on it later anyway.
  14. Was a great Weekend. Thanks J and Mel again. I didnt take many photos either......but my gopro is about to be plugged in so i can review the footage of Captain Slide :P
