  1. haven't done too much to this thing, heres a couple pix since lowering/fitted the rims. sorry for the average pics i was trying out the camera on my new phone and fuffed it abit lol. wanting to buy a house soon so no money will be spent on it for a while, including the corolla. but one day!
  2. i've half decided that the only way ill be keeping this thing atm is if i can source a cheap bare 20b block and go the n/a 20b pp route. ive got a mate that i can build it with on the cheap so thats not much of a problem. just fitting the thing would be.
  3. for anyone that still remembers this thing my project is pretty much dead. haven't got the time or money anymore to even look at the thing and its taking up space :(. i never though it would come to me thinking of selling it but it might be on the cards. ill see what happens but if nothing changes u might see it up for sale on here soon enough.
  4. ive still got the car, haven't touched it in awhile tho. since moving out i haven't had the $$$ to do too much with it. ive since sold off most of the driveline (motor, turbo, gearbox etc) and will be going a different direction with it when i have the money. even though the car is just sitting there doing nothing i can't sell it, i love it too much lol.

    My Rat Ke10

this looks very similar to a matt black ke10 i had 2 years ago, possibly the same car? i have no idea what happened too it after i sold it, always wanted to put a 12a in it :(.
  6. Thanks for the comments guys. ive always been a fan of this model of audi, and the trusty 5 cylinders are bulletproof! considering the weight of the car (1700kg or so) they go suprisingly well. on paper they do 0-100 in around 6 seconds, which is pretty close to what i've gotten. the car has just ticked over 200,000ks which is still baby k's when it comes to these engines apparently which is nice, its due for a cambelt so will be doing that soon. ordered some BBS LM 19" replicas which should arrive next week and ordered a set of front and rear adjustable coilovers for it so i can stiffen it up and get rid of the 4x4 ride height. eventually want to get a turbo back 3" exhaust, but will be keeping the motor stock for now, apart from abit more boost. planning to take it to the track, wouldn't mind trying my hand at some curcuit work in it, would be abit of fun :). changed the steering wheel from the horrible 4 spoke to the standard 3 spoke non airbag wheel which looks ace, and chucked on a mesh grille, also removed the butt ugly spoiler, just need to get the holes filled up now. also got some euro plates for it :). heres the rims and coilover kit
  7. Hey guys thought i'd put up some pics/info of a new weekender i bought recently, getting it freighted down from QLD, should arrive next week sometime. its a 1994 Audi S4, pretty rare these days and i've always wanted one since i drove one a couple years ago at my old work but they where always out of my price range. soon as i spotted this one i had to have it. there pretty tricked out from factory, they are a 20v inline 5 cylinder turbo, externally gated, 227bhp with quattro drivetrain, factory diff lock, 6 speed manual, electric everything with comfy as f@$k leather seats, factory colour coded sunroof etc. ordered some euro plates for it, once i get it transferred/regoed etc I'm gonna start doing afew little mods, not going crazy as i don't want to wreck the look of the car. heres what ill be doing in the near future, -lowering job with either coilovers all round ($$$ permitting) or bilstein shock/eibach springs -turbo back 3" exhaust, hi-flo cat, one muffler -linea corse lemans full black rims (haven't decided on size, offset etc yet) -remove the god awful spoiler, hateee it -give it a general clean up, needs a cut n polish in places and the leather needs some looking after in places. just planning on enjoying this car as i get bored driving my camry every day and my corolla rotary is a very slow work in progress so i wanted something for weekends etc and i was over buying aussie/jap cars. heres a couple pix of it, let me know what you think!
  8. thanks mate. i can't remember exactly, the rad was around $800 made from my specs/diagrams, oil cooler was an off the shelf one, $400 odd i think.
  9. i tried it the other way aswell but i like the way it looks here. atm where it is its pretty close but its not hitting, ive had the crossmember modified already as i wanted to move the engine back earlier. ive got about a finger gap from steering lock stoppers on eithr side of the crossmember and about 40 odd mm from the hump of the sump to the front of the crossmember so it should be alright.
  10. finally managed to mount the oil cooler in a better way then it was originally, made up afew crude brackets and utilized the existing castor mount bolts making the oil cooler sit in abit more and on an angle, i think it looks way better then hanging underneath the intercooler. let me know what you think? also cut a hole for the shifter in my tunnel n will be moving the engine/box back another 50mm and ill be making a solid engine mount using the exisiting engine brace but modding it so i can use the factory weld on threads on the castor mounts. roughly where engine will sit after moving rearwards trans tunnel cut
  11. yeah 13BT_KE20 i was thinking about that earlier about where the oil cooler etc sits it does look abit odd where it is, had a bit of a brainstorm in how i could make it look nicer and the front end aswell cos i just hate how the rad supports are designed on ke rollas, just gonna go visit an engineer mate of mine on monday to make sure its alrite before i start hacking lol. haha yeh its got some intense toe action going on.
  12. its got 235/60s on the back already, thats as big as i wanna go for the time being, planning to move upto 15x12s after i get the car on the road.
  13. messed around with the front end bits roughly getting everything in place, had to hack my spare grille and apron abit to fit the cooler but it doesn't look that bad, I'm not going for the stealthy look otherwise i'd be failing atm lol. can't seem to find the metal bit that goes under the grille on top of the apron so it looks abit weird atm. just gotta make up mounts for the oil cooler and get it sitting abit closer to the intercooler and it shuld look alrite. btw the front wheels are all mental atm cos ive ripped the lower control arms etc out.
  14. cooler piping is coming up through the inner guards, either side of the bottom of the cooler, the turbo will more than likely be moved back as i will be running a filter, ill see what the smallest filter i can find is and go off that. yeh it doesn't have to come back all that much. thanks for the kind words, yeh it has been abit slow but I'm not fussed, it will get there eventually.
  15. ive got a 235/7.5" rim under the bum of my ke26, just had to box the standard wheel tubs all the way upto the chassis, didn't cut the chassis at all. could probably fit a 245/8" with the right offset.
  16. not much to update, mock fitted up the engine/box, had to remove the crank pulley to fit the engine so ill be moving the engine back another 50mm or so as ive got a bit of room to play with, also roughly mounted where i want the turbo to be, I'm in desperate need of a welder atm now tho, dad was gettin me one for xmas last year but never got around to it and iv been to busy with other shite to annoy him about it but I'm gonna hav to start pestering him more as i can't do much else atm without one! ended up pissing off the waterpump as i didn't really like the look of it and it wasn't fitting up very well with the fan so il lbe using a davies craig electric pump and side mounting the alternator since it can't go in its original spot anymore, gonna be mounting the pump in one of the inner guards. collected a bunch of pipe bends etc so gonna start making up a rough gaffa tape zorst manifold so i can make sure the turbo/gate are gonna be in the best spot before i can weld one up.
  17. some new pix, my project is still alive lol. body work on the car is done, will hopefully get it towed back home friday or saturday. looks so much better then how it originally did, i ended up getting the whole shell sandblasted, which revealed a shitload more rust then what i originally discovered, but its all gone now atleast. will get some better pix once its home.
  18. no real updates, been abit short of the $$$ lately, due to going overseas and buying other cars which i shouldn't have, so the panelvan has been sitting and looking pretty neglected. still needs some body work done but its going next monday back to the beaters to have it done then i can fart around with it more. sold off my other cars and bought a camry wagon daily hack so i can save abit of $$ and keep myself focused on the corolla.
  19. Hey guys need abit of help figuring out my steering box on my ke26, it was steering alright originally but i removed all the steering arms, pitman etc but left the steering box bolted up, my mate thought he'd be helpful and unbolt the top of the steering box where you adjust it, dropped all the oil and all the gears of the box fell out. ive put them back in just to see how far out the steering was and put the arms back up the way i took them off but now when the wheel is centred (stopper for steering arms is centered, it turns left heaps but barely turns right, can only get a 1/4 turn if that out of it before it hits the stops. what is the best way to get the steering centered? I'm not sure how the steering boxes are meant to be set out. anybody messed around with these things much? cheers.

    Kyle's Ke10

nice to see you're enjoying it kyle, it was a good little car but I'm glad your putting it to good use, was sad seeing it sitting under my carport doing nothing all that time lol. I'm now corolla-less apart from my ke26 which is continuing very slowly, ive just done a silly thing and built a hefty 308 for my VK so no more corollas for awhile!
  21. awesome looking car, nice fitment of the ca18 also, looks pretty snug in there! I'm also interested in having a closer look at your brake/pedal box setup as I'm considering doing this to my ke26 due to space issues. also a pic of your brake booster setup would be handy :). cheers.
  22. thanks for all the replies and for the effort dfunkt, I'm waiting on a reply from a bloke that said he has them in his ke20 that he's wrecking so hopefully they aren't rusted out and are usable, so i can get things moving again with my pano!
  23. i tried explaining what i was after to peter robinson today over the phone but he had no idea what i was talking about so i mite hav to visit him tommorow and try again lol.
  24. my first car, which was an '84 vk calais. bought it when i turned 15, owned it up until i was 20, spent countless amounts of money on it, replacing everything you could think of, respraying it, big stereo etc. was planning on dropping an injected 5L into it but fate had other ideas when a silly old dude not paying attention slammed up my ass wen i was sitting at the lights n wrote the car off. i still miss that car, but just recently bought another vk calais which has pretty much filled the void of losing my other vk.
