  1. unless i calculated this wrong, 1,500 yen is $25 aud? :lolcry:. if so thats cheap as hell. i would still prefer to find one in australia tho, iv been burned afew times buying stuff from overseas, i need one as soon as possible. thanks for the help tho dude.
  2. thanks for the comments guys :lolcry:, makes it all worth while. I'm in abit of a pickle atm however, I'm requring a couple bits- 1. ke26 rear bar, i can get away with just the centre section as the 2 side parts are the same as a ke20 (which i have). 2. tailgate 'toyota' badge/number plate light thingo. dunno what its actually called. mines all mangled and has a non toyota badge on it. i need these pretty urgently so anyone who has any of the above or both can u let me know soon as possible? cheers.
  3. thats lookin awesome, nice to see afew more pano's being brought back to life. seems your going the sane original road while I'm going the stupid over the top road lol. question tho does the badge thing on the tailgate where the number plate lights are say Transporter on yours? mine says it but i dunno if thats how it was from factory cos i haven't seen any others like that . I'm unsure if the previous owner did that himself or not. the letters are proper badges, so if its custom it wuld'v been abit of farting around to make, its not like the guy just slapped on a sticker lol. edit: i just found the same badge, its from a VW Transporter :y:, the knob chuckd a vw badge in replace of the standard Toyota thing, thats quite gay lol. now i have to try track down a factory one :lolcry:.
  4. thanks for the comments guys, its gonna look insane once its all back together and driving :lolcry:. i can't wait. the work the boys at All Race have done on the car is phenomenal, as with all work they produce on other cars.
  5. ask and you shall recieve, more pictures lol. 1/2 cage is all done, tubs are completed, leaf spring mounts are relocated and leaf springs are refitted, trans tunnel has been remade (i can't get over how awesome the new tunnel looks) only thing waiting on now is for the diff to come back from being shortened, getting seat mounts made for my velo seats and getting the 40L fuel cell recessed into the rear with outlets underneath the car for my fuel pumps etc. its starting to take shape! :lolcry:.
  6. heres some pics of the car at All Race getting the fab work done, they've been taken over the last 2 weeks, gonna go and take some more during this week. currently the rear tub sheet metal has been done, the diff has been sent off to be shortened, the factory fuel tank will be removed and will be replaced by a 40L fuel cell and the rear leaf spring mounts are being moved inwards which are half way completed. its looking very sad atm but will look awesome once its done :) anyway heres the pics.
  7. ye mate finally have an update, been waiting on All Race Fabrications to get back to me to when they would b able to do work on my car, they finally rang me on thursday after 7 weeks of being on their waiting list lol, i was in sydney though so i had no way of getting the shell to them. hired a trailer today n chucked the body on, so its all ready to take tommorow morning. i forgot how light the body was to lift, me and my mate lifted it onto the trailer without too much trouble haha. All Race will be doing the tub work, shortening the diff/moving the leaf spring mounts over etc and welding in a half cage for it. i mite get them to fit up some seat mounts to accomodate my seats and make up handbrake cables aswell, I'm gona have a chat about those extra bits with them when i take the car to them tommorow. I'm just glad stuff will finally be happening to it after all this time, after its done at All Race it will be going to my mate for the body work/painting and so my other mate can rewire it. my front struts are getting the RX7 calipers etc adapted to them plus a ford stud pattern conversion is being done, so hopefully they will be done soon so when the car is done at the fabricators i can chuck the struts in with the diff so i can push the c**t around. heres some pics anyway with it on the trailer.
  8. thanks for all the comments guys, n don't worry henry i'll look after it :no2:. gona take it off the road soon so i can fix up afew things that need doing to pass a roadworthy, had the roady dudes at work suss it out n tell me what it needs, had a crack in the zorst manifold which ill just get welded up, has an oddball gearbox x-member which i need to modify as the box is twisted on a freaky angle slightly, n just need to replace afew tie roads n stuff like that. pretty much all the same shit i had to get done for my corolla's so its nothing new too me lol. hope to have it on the road soon.
  9. lol i was waiting for someone to say somthin like that :jamie:, it used exactly 2 tanks to get me back to melb, was about $180 or so i think from memory, that was with me giving it abit of stick everynow and then when i started to get bored. I'm just happy ive finally got a 5 speed, i don't do a whole lot of driving apart from going to work so the fuel won't bother me much. ill prolly end up using roughly the same as the wagon due to its 4 speed revving to the shitass whenever i hit the highways lol.
  10. well the wags is gone, new owner came and picked it up yesterday, went to another rollaclub member so I'm happy about that! picked up the replacement for the wags on friday, flew to adelaide to suss it out, paid for it n drove it home back to melbourne, went flawlessly, n was a great drive home :jamie:. bought it off Henry, kE20ME. its not a corolla but i thought i'd chuck a couple pics up anyway for anyone interested. ive still got the other corolla which is in bits in the garage, but that will be on the road eventually, i mainly bought this just to keep me entertained until that day as i was getting bored of driving around stock grandpa cars, even tho i still love em lol. heres some pics anyways. its an '83 RX7 (don't hurt me, lol)
  11. well the lil daily will be going soon, got a deposit given for it today. i will be hanging onto the pano though, thats never getting sold . speaking of that, haven't had much else happen with that lately, my front brake/struts should be all done within the next few weeks, the place thats doing it are getting pumped with work so its slowing them down abit. ordered a complete set of Nolathane bushes for it today, i ordered everything nolathane had to offer basically lol. still waiting to hear back from the place thats doing my tub work/diff etc, hopefuly it shouldn't be too long as I'm itching to get the fken thing out of the garage!
  12. they don't make venetians for 26's, i tried looking for sum for mine , u could maybe try mazda 1300 wag ones, they mite be similar in length etc.
  13. nice work with the wags dude, looks the goods! will look crazy once some essential grandpa additions are on.
  14. hah cheers benzo. pm sent jono :).
  15. thats cool dude, thought i'd ask :). ill give peter robinson a buzz next week, see if he has any lying around.
  16. ye that will tilt it but i still need to secure the other side of the seat, the bolt holes on the side closest to the door line up but the other side near the trans don't line up, so whether i add on some brackets or whatever i dunno yet. while ur here dave, have u got any drivers side seat rails i can nab off you? lol. u should see the shoddy work the previous owner did to the seat rails :) (i put this seat in the wrong side btw, was meant to be on the passenger side, but meh.)
  17. fitted up some rails to one of my seats, since my other rails are rooted i thought i mite aswell mess around with one seat. ripped out a seat from my daily and trial fitted the velo seat just to see how close or far away everything was from lining up. I'm pretty damn impressed, the velo seat is slightly narrower then the standard '26 seat, by about 15mm, i managed to get the bolt holes to line up on one side but the side of the seat is just touching the b-pillar, so the whole seat needs to go over a lil bit, so ill have to sit down and have a think about this one lol. atleast i know its not totally off. heres what the seat looks like in my 4 door lol
  18. bah, come into abit of a snag today. thought i'd mess around with the new seats n trial fit em into the pano. i swapped the seat rails from the seats i pulled out of the pano, fitted up pretty damn easily so i was impressed, had to do a lil bit of modifying but nothing major. the passenger side is fine, but i can't use the rails for the drivers side with my new seat, the mofo that had the car before me has butchered the drivers seat rails and welded on some bizarre mounts and nothing matches up, its even got the wrong handles n everything on it :). so does anyone have a set of ke20/26 drivers side seat rails i could pinch off them? i need them pretty urgently.
  19. and while i think about it, does anyone have a proper ke26 rear bar? as for some reason mines got a ke20 bar (with the number plate lights in it) even though the tailgate has number plate lights in it anyway. wouldn't look right having the standard '20 bar on it i reckon.
  20. great pick up, u don't see too many 4 door 20's around! looks like it should scrub up nicely :S.
  21. the car will be going to All Race Fabrications in dandy in the next month or so (whenver they can fit me in basically), to get the diff shortened, tub work done and the half cage done. will look like a totally different car once its done! ive taken my front struts and brake bits to get the brake upgrade done so hopefully they will be ready within the next few weeks so i can chuck the front struts back in. once the car is done at the fabs it'll be going straight to my mates to get prepped/painted then to my other mate for the rewiring etc.
  22. thanks mate, yeh i was thinking somewhere around the 3k mark. i got offered 3,500 for it 3 days after i bought it lol. all depends if i can find a suitable replacement or not!
  23. thinking of selling up and getting rid of my daily '26 wagon. wanna try something else, even though i love it too death. ill have the pano to keep me company eventually so i wanna buy somethin different. what do u blokes reckon i could get for it? thing is stock as a rock. call me crazy but i want a chrysler centura, always loved em. almost bought one before i bought my first rolla, n i still want too.
  24. there is enough room in the standard wheel tub to house the wheel, barely. ill be getting the inner tubs boxed out to meet up with the chassis rails, i should get another 20mm or so out of it, and will raise the tubs higher so i will beable to lower the car abit more in the ass end. gonna get the outer guard flared out a lil bit n lip the guards and yeh i need to get the leaf spring mounts moved over as they are basically inline with the edge of the tyre lol. ill be getting everything done at the fabriactors aswell as the diff.
  25. i used to have issues with using a lot of fuel in my old ke20 until i realised i was letting the choke stay out too far for too long on cold starts. now with the new wags i start it first thing with the choke all the way out then straight away push it back in around half way, let it sit there for abit to sort itself out then its all good, obivously give it abit more choke if it starts to carry on. ive found i have abit more fuel now, it was noticeably sucking wayyy to much fuel before.
