  1. how come ur not running a booster? or don't u need one on ur setup?
  2. a 12a bridge or extendy would be one hell of a hairy ride in a lil 1200 coupe. u can hardly compare power output of an n/a motor to a turbo motor btw... if u did most of the work yourself i would imagine u could get it done for afew thousand. if u want it to be legal/engineered thats a different story though.
  3. i also wuld like to know what would be the best brake booster/master cylinder option for my ke26? its running a 13bt which was still running the standard ke26 master cylinder when i got the car. its now running s4 rx7 brakes at the front and will have standard hilux drums at the rear. what would be a good option for me? i haven't got any clear pictures when the motor was still in of the space where the master cylinder was to show.
  4. thats all sorted now thanks guys. now i have another question lol. iv stripped down the door innards apart from the door handle, iv removed the 2 bolts from the inside that hold it in, but can't figure out how to remove the door handle linkage from the door lock? also can you get replacement window regs? cos mine are totally shagged :hmm:. heres a pic to show what i mean. also, how does the window channel closest to the door hinge side of the door come off, i can't see any other screws/bolts :y:.
  5. did you take the ones out from underneath the little plastic panels that are underneath the dash pad? also theres some behind the air vents I'm pretty sure, they come off with a couple screws, have a look behind. i took my mine out of my ke26 afew weeks ago but can't remember exactly how it came off now :hmm:. the plate that sits up against the windscreen doesn't need to come off, the screws holding that in are behind the gauge face and glovebox etc, and suck.

  7. i feel like abit of a douche posting this up lol, but i searched and couldn't find anything. I'm having dramas removing the window winders from the doors of my wags, i used to remember how to do them when i had my old commodore but its lost from my memory, any pointers?? cheers.
  8. cheers mate, their 195/45/15 yokohama's. looks mad with the skinny sidewall i reckon, different to most 15" tyres.
  9. new pics of my rolla as of afew days ago, pimpin it with 15" saab chasers, will be getting whitewalled and dropped next week hopefully.
  10. thanks for the comments mate, nah i haven't got any new pics of the car itself, hasn't changed since last pics lol. scored some modified TA22 celica struts for it tho and got some 4-pot rx7 calipers for it aswell which ill be chucking on. changing to ford stud pattern aswell. got my eye on a 9" diff on ebay which if it stays at a reasonable price ill nab. hav been looking for a luxy diff for awhile but hvn't had any luck and thought i'd just bite the bullet and go for the heavy artillery instead.
  11. havn't updated in awhile. motor is pretty much complete, scored some modified TA22 front struts to suit the wags. got some 4 piston RX7 calipers which i wuldn't mind using. just need a diff, wanting a luxy diff but finding it abit hard to track one down, not concerned whether its lsd or not, since ill be spooling it anyways. will post pics when i get some.
  12. thanks mate, yeh i didn't kno how rare they where either until someone told me. ill be hanging onto it for awhile i think. ye I'm still wanting to get rid of the seats, turns out they are out of a Mazda Familia. not too sure how much to sell em for though. ill try get some better pics of them.

Hey guys, needing LH and RH outer tie rod ends for my ke20, as they are cactus, went n got new tyres fitted today only to realise the tie rods where shot n the tyre blokes wouldn't do a wheel alingment the way it is. i rang the place i got all my other bits for my ke20 from but they are closed. anyone know of anyone that would stock this stuff in melbourne as i need them today! :P. cheers for any help.
  14. yeh i was thinkin around the 2.5-3k mark. haven't fully decided yet tho. tempted to go suss out this B1600 tho, somethin to tow the KE26 around with :dance:.
  15. thought i'd put this in here, thinking about offloading my KE20 daily, if i can find a suitable replacement. would love another KE26, whether it be a 2 or 4 door but failing that I'm chasing either a Mazda B1600 or '72 Ford Courier. heres a pic of mine if anyone is interested. not sure what it would be worth though..

  18. sounds good to me dude, iv always like the sound of carbie rotaries, sound tough as. i wouldn't mind building a peripheral ported 13b, 51mm IDA etc and drop it in my white ke20 lol. no fuel injection or anythin like that, just pure oldskool, real petrol guzzler. would be awesome. thats something to think about later on down the track i think.

  20. yeh fair enough, still gotta sort out mounts etc I'm guessing. you'll beable to hear what the sec bridge porting sounds like once i get my motor up and running, hopefully within the next month or so.
  21. if my wagon wasn't in a million pieces i'd bring that, but it won't be finished for a while! i'd definately be interested once its on the road though :dance:.
  22. ok sweet thanks for the info, ill give that a shot when i go check out the car next. my mate works from home so doesn't charge as much as most workshops do, only downside is he's in Sunshine which is a bit of a hike from dandenong if you're keen. I'm sure he'd accomodate you though, he just recently built an extend port 12a for some bloke, had it there when i was there last. yeh i was gonna go for a full bridgy but decided against it mainly due to the fact that they aren't the easiest things to live with for a street car. i ended up going for a Secondary Bridge port, which is basically an extend bridge port, only the secondaries are bridged the primaries are extended. you still get the brap brap as if its a bridgy but it is apparently a hell of a lot more streetable and would still go like stink. ive heard of alot of people going this way instead of full bridgys, alot of people from Maztech hav been going with this option with good results. so it could be a good idea to check that out for your 12A.
  23. also, is there any way to check whether ur diff has shortened axles or not? without pulling it apart? as the previous owner said the diff had been shortened, i dunno if that was just to fit underneath the rolla or to what extent etc. I'm not really trusting in what he's said now cos of what happened with my motor. anyone know?
  24. thanks mate, hehe brappn is pretty sweet. who did u speak to about the engine? i spoke to maztech and xtreme rotaries etc, they both said around 6-7g's for the rebuild. i spoke to a mate who rebuilds rotaries from his home, and he said he could do it for a hell of a lot cheaper. i took the stripped block to him and he did all the rebuilding, dowelling, porting, painting it up replacing all the seals etc all that shit for $2500. after iv gotten everything needed for the motor it'll prolly end up being around 6g's for the complete engine. yeh i was toying with the idea of ditching the R31 diff i have n going for a hilux diff. but since the r31 is still in pretty good nick i was hoping to keep it for a little while longer but get the stud pattern changed?
  25. also, I'm interested in doing a 5 stud conversion, the fronts can be taken care of in the Hoppers Stoppers brake kit, u can either have them 4 or ford 5 stud, but the rears I'm not sure on. they are R31 disc brakes which are 4 stud, how would i go about changing it to the ford 5 stud like the fronts would be?
