hey guys, needing to know the dimensions of my ke26. tried searching on google but can't seem to find anything. after the height, length, width and weight. if anyone has a workshop manual or anything that has this info i'd appreciate it. cheers.

hey guys, been tempted to buy sum repro teardrop gt mirrors from an XY to replace the standard mirrors on the wagon. iv seen them alot on mazdas etc but not sure how they would fit up. I'm guessing you would need to make new bolt holes in the doors to suit? has anyone fitted these before to any Ke's? thanks. for anyone that doesn't know, they look like this. this is fitted to a cortina.

Hey guys, needing to upgrade the brakes on the wagon when i get it, as its got ke55 sruts/disc brakes at the front and r31 skyline disc brakes at the rear which are attached to the r31 diff. with this current setup it has alot of trouble pulling up. what would be a good front strut to upgrade too? as i am interesting in converting to twin piston commodore brakes at the front and commodore brakes at the rear. how difficult would this conversion be and what would be required? also considering the front and rear stud patterns are different, fronts being corolla, rears being skyline, what changing to a 5 stud commodore pattern all round be worth while or should i keep it 4 stud? as long as the front and rear stud patterns are the same I'm not really all that fussed. thanks for any help.

not a whole heap of boost, prolly around the 10psi area, depends if i choose to rebuild the motor straight away or not, whether i wanna up the boost or not. yeh get some picks up for sure, wanna see how it sits on urs.

what size intercooler do u think this is? (i have no idea when ti comes to cooler sizes) I'm wanting to find one for the rolla, n that is a nice size, not over the top or anythin. just so i can piss off the top mount.
-
yeah mate for sure. once i have the car ill get some pics of it, atm i only have the ones that where in the for sale ad.
-
haha mad. knowing me i'd do something like that.
-
yeh it drives fine, hasn't been driven much lately and needs a tune bad as its running rich, but apart from that everything is done, just needs a tidy up.
-
yeh I'm gonna keep the 13bt in it, i just need to sort out better cooler as the top intercooler isn't all that flash. and i need better brakes! cos they are useless atm.

i just bought that ke26, so it'll be coming down to melbourne soon :lolcry:, which is why i was asking about the windows. but after seeing it up close i'd rather keep it the way it is.
-
i tried searching but didn't come up with anything regarding this, but since ke26 panel vans came out with steel plates instead of rear windows, can they be removed and replaced with actual windows? or are they welded in place or something like that.

thanks for the info guys. yeah I'm tossing up whether to go 12A or 13B. a monster bridgey in a little ke10 would be the last thing you'd expect haha.

Hey guys, iv been thinking awhile about what car i want for a project. iv gotten as far as wanting a rotary and have been looking at several mazdas, but havn't really found anything that catches my eye. iv come across a dead stock KE10, which iv always loved and its a perfect base to start from. my question is what would be involved in dropping a 13B into one of these? what sort of trans/diff combo would be suitable? as i doubt the standard KE diff would beable to cope for long. thanks for any assistance.

hey guys, got abit of a problem with my ke20. on sunday my dad noticed that my brake lights weren't working. so i checkd all the globes, even tho i had replaced them all not long ago. none had blown. next thing i looked at where the fuses. found one fuse had blown. i hav no idea what fuse controls what, so i just replaced it and the brake lights started working again. just earlier i thought i'd check to see if they are still working, and they aren't. again i checkd all the globes, where ok. checked the fuse. hadn't blown. checkd all the plugs underneath the dash, the plug for the brake light switch. everything was in. not sure what else to look for :D. need help urgently!

where can i go to get the leaf springs on my ke20 lowered? and how much will this set me back? iv got no idea when it comes to leafs, hah.

thanks for the assistance guys. finally got the car registered and on the road yesterday, passed the vicroads inspection no worries at all. after 3 months and i can drive it now lol.
-
benzo, thanks for the kind words mate. the colour is Quick Silver. if you're doing them yourself look for that colour, or if you're getting a shop to do it for you just ask them to paint em in a high gloss silver. will probably turn out the same colour.

hmmm well dad was helpin me do it, and he was pushing the pedal down to the floor. so i hope it hasn't f@$ked the master cylinder :o. is there any way to check? I'm not used to these old girls, lol.
-
hmm, I'm not too sure what ive done wrong. i bled the brakes from all 4 points and the brakes are still pretty bad. can u bled the master cylinder itself? not sure y the brakes are still crummy.
-
hmm, i tried that until a nice stream of brake fluid started coming out, couldn't see any air. took it for a drive and it barely braked at all :o. even though i only removed the front brakes. would i need to bleed up the rears aswell? would air be in the rears? thats the only thing i can think of, since i only bled the front brakes.
-
put the car back together just before. had to bleed up the front brakes as i removed the brake line from the caliper to get the struts out. my question is when i put the brake lines back onto the caliper, is the nut on the brake line meant to sit flush with the caliper? as i wound it down by hand until it got tight and nipped it up with my spanner. just not sure if there is air leaking out or not. as the pedal feels pretty crummy. whats the best way to bleed these?

needing a quick hand with reinstalling the pitman arm, bought a new one cos mine was pretty shagged. but I'm not quite sure how far up the thread on the steering box its meant to go? does it have to sit flush with the box? i can only get it up as far as around 8 or so mm away from the box and don't wanna start hammering at it to get it up all the way. also, anyone kno any places that i could score some strut top mounts from? as the place i originally was going to get them from culdn't find any, and iv already pulled the struts out so i mite aswell try n find new ones. cheers
-
bah, turns out pedders had a blonde moment and thought we where talking about the whole strut, not the strut tops. so I'm back to square one now :P.
