  1. mmmm on further looking i answered my own question, theres 2 rubber strap things that attach the window to the regulator channel which move the window up n down n they've both snapped . anyone got any tips on fixing this? could u just stick some rubber to either side of the window and jam it in the slots on the regulator? as I'm assuming u wuldn't beable to buy the 2 particularly shaped rubber bits anymore.
  2. hey guys, needing some guidance with one of the window regs on my ke26. the RHR door window doesn't wind up and down, so i removed the door trim to have a look. the regulator is winding up and down fine but its not connected to the window itself, or isn't grabbing the window n bringing it down. its abit of a shit thing to see into so i can't see if anythigns broken, it doesn't look like it, but how is the window meant to sit on the regulator? if someone could show me a diagram of how everything goes together that would be great. does it just slide into channels somewhere? also does anyone know where i can get some good quality replacements for my door pulls? i got some off ebay which looked alrite at first, but the fken things have already broken in half, rubbish .
  3. my car won't be on the road before then , would'v been keen to go. will definately be up for the next cruise!
  4. i don't see many old rollas , theres always a white ke10 locked up behind a fence near my work and a brownish-gold ke55 coupe near work, but i never see anything around my area. ill be up for a cruise when i get my ke26 all regoed up and fixed :y:
  5. got all my new tie rods, bushes n shit like that today, some are sealed while others need to be greased, so ill have to wait until saturday for that as i havn't got the stuf to do that at home. got some new door pulls for it as all mine where broken and brittle so it looks abit nicer now! ordered some fender mirrors aswell, which shuld hopefully come next week, just need to figure out the best place to put them, I'm thinking 3/4 down the guard closer to the headlights.
  6. haha thanks mate, i mite change it to discs one day, the drums ar fine for now! Hopefuly il hav it all finishd soon. can't wait to drive it again!
  7. heres how its looking atm, taken off all the tie rods, idler and pitman arms, so i can replace them all. also taken off the lower control arms and sway bar so i can replace all the bushes n get the lower ball joints replaced. after thats all in ill be replacing the leaf spring bushes and she'll be sweet. after that my mate can go about fixing up the body n respraying it (original colour of course), then ill get the thing lowered and get some fender mirrors fitted, when i find a set. will make a mad daily, can't wait  also, found a set of brand new KE26 tailights in spain which I'm tempted to buy for the panelvan altho they are like $200 :jamie:. it will be worth it tho.
  8. farrrr out that ke10 looks awesome. always wanted a matt black paintjob, just looks so cool haha.
  9. took both control arms out just before, was easier then i thought it wuld be. so now i just havta wait for my bits to get ordered in. thanks for the help .
  10. hahah ok cheers guys, ill rip out the control arms tommorow and get them pressed out (knowing me, bashing it against the gutter would do more harm then good lol).
  11. hey guys, wanting to remove the lower balljoint from my wags, as both are pretty rooted, I'm up to the point where the joint is in clear view, the strut is off, the strut mount is removed, how does the balljoint come out? as i can't see what else i have to do to get it out. heres a pic to show what i mean. cheers!
  12. nice work dude, its looking the goods! have you got a picture of the fender mirrors?? i want a set for my daily wags but can't really seem to find any.
  13. well yeh i could do that, i'd rather keep it original though :).
  14. hey guys, one of the torsional springs that hold the tailgate open have snapped at both ends on my wagon so the tailgate can't hold itself up. i have a complete hinge/torsion springs setup which i've nicked from my panelvan n wanna know if its worthwhile to just change the broken spring or pull off the entire unit as one n swap it over with the one from my van? cos it looks like i'd have to pull down the roof lining section at the rear n f@$kd if I'm gonna beable to get it back looking right after :). has anyone done this before?? as I'm at a loss at how i should tackle this.
  15. nice to see your happy with it dougal :), we'll have to go for a cruise once u get ur p's n after iv got my wagon tidied up and on the road.
  16. not sure what an original pano would be worth, probably somewhere in the 2-5g's region i suppose depending on condition. i bought my one for 5g's, that was far from original though.
  17. far out, those are some awesome pictures, i mite have to have a look at getting my pano trimmed by u guys when the time comes lol.
  18. yeh i was prety lucky to come across this one, i won't be selling it anytime soon though :), unless i find another panelvan lol. i like this one too much already tho haha.
  19. haha thanks for the comments guys. ever since i got my panelvan i wanted another one, n this was too hard to resist buying! the 2 will look wicked side by side now once done! i don't plan to do much to it, gona get my mate to fix up the panels and respray it (same grandpa colour of course, stands out like dogs balls lol), retrim afew things in the interior, lower it and yeh. will make a cool little cruiser i reckon. ha yea the only rego sticker still on it is from 1989 so its a little bit out of date, lucky for me tho cops couldn't care less about old corollas :).
  20. thanks for the comments guys :). i got it for $1,000. taking it to work on monday so i can chuck it on a hoist n see exactly what it needs for roadworthy, doesn't look like it will need too much though.
  21. disregard, i figured it out lol.
  22. the rims are 15x6 i think, off a saab 9000. it didn't come with those wheels btw lol, when i picked it up it was dead stock, original 12's with hubbies. i put the sunvisor on, my saab rims n shit like that from my old car :). ill be lowering it once i get it roadied and registered n all that. took it for a spin down to the servo before to get some fuel, gets a fair bit of attention, i guess its hard to miss the colour lol.
  23. hey guys, picked up this ke26 on wednesday night, had been looking for another one for awhile to go with the panelvan I'm building. put the bits from my other car that is now sold onto it, gave it a quick cleanup etc and thought i'd take some pics. the thing is original as, interior is basically spotless apart from the front seats which have a little bit of tearing. the dash is overrated, roof lining is perfect. the first owner was an old dude who always had the rear seat folded down as he always had his dog in it so the rear seat is like new (the car reeks of dog now however lol). its just a standard 3K/4 speed affair, nothing to flashy, but it drives well. needs a few steering arms n shit like that which is normal and needs abit of bodywork, mainly around the passenger side and rear drivers quarter but after that it will look overrated as. in terms of rust theres basically nothing at all, only minor surface rust on the roof where the old dude had roof racks on it etc, so I'm wrapped about that. everything works and feels solid in this car, all the doors even make that nice 'thud' sound when u close em hah. its not registered atm so i chucked on my old SA plates from my ke20 for the time being. but will hopefully have it on the road soon. heres some pics anyway, i can't type anymore lol. let me know what u think!
  24. hey guys, i was swapping some trim bits from one car to the other, had to remove the headlights from my ke26 so i could get to the bolts for the metal strip thing that goes underneath the grille to remove it, now that its all back together i went to put the lights back in but can't line up both of the adjustment screws to screw the light back into place :), i tried with both headlights with the same effect. do i need to get the spring behind the headlight in place first before trying to put the screws in??
  25. if the diff is dead stock it'd be 4x110.
