Sorry if you have been asked before but need help on fitting my T50 to my KE70.

I have purchased a AE86 Gearbox Xmember mount and bolted it to my Standard 4K 5 speed Xmember which bolts to the T50 but the floor Mounting holes don't line up.

 

Now can i just re drill the floor holes or do i need to modify the xmember as i can't find a AE71 xmember.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

You will need the AE71 x-member, mainly just so its unmodified and looks factory. Some people fabricate their own custom ones. Its not ideal to drill holes all over to make stuff fit. Obviously things like the hydraulic clutch master are 100% necessary and look factory once fitted. Truth be told you can do whatever you feel will work, I just find its better to make things look as unmodified as possible in a modified car, if its gonna be a streeter. Maybe drill the x-member if possible and when you can find the 71 x-member snap it up and swap it over as the 71 x-member will bolt straight in the 70.

I know what you mean buy it looks better with the "factory look" everything else in the rolla is how a AE71 should be except for the Gearbox is still being held by a Car Jack.

 

So looks like i need to find a rocking horse that poo's :)
