irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Who knows a good place to replace an axel bearing? Ive got a shagged left bearing and its the uncommon D series diff. Ive got a spare axel with a shagged bearing so I was gonna get a new bearing put on that. About what should I expect to pay? Quote
Redwarf Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 (edited) My place, a Saturday morning, a die grindershould be able to do it. Cost? Two six packs (Gold Stubbies, one for me and one for the man to press them on!). You supply the bearings (best do both), we'll get them on. We have the technology! irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 awesome!! I'll have to figure out some time when I'm free. I'm told the other bearing was replaced not long ago...You recon I should still do both?...I'll start work on finding some D series bearings  could be tricky. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 I agree with Rob, don't just do the one side, do both.. Quote
irokin Posted October 27, 2004 Author Report Posted October 27, 2004 If I were to do both it would have to be on two separate weekends because I need my car :jason: unless if you can press them on that day... Quote
Redwarf Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 I get them both fitted if it's a Saturday morning. Quote
