i put a fuse in the lighter space today and the interior light worked when set to ON but not DOOR.

The door switches must not be earthing out then, prevents the light from lighting up when you put it on door and the doors are open.

so are those swithces in the door jams?? and how do i fix them or do they have 2 b replaced?

Yep, Those switches. When the door opens the switch goes to ground which ground the wire for the light..

so how do i fix those switches??

well the switch wire that comes off the door switch has to supply a ground for the interior light to come on, i can't say for sure how you will fix it as I am not familiar with the setup, the switches could be broken, wires could be broken/disconnected etc. you will have to have a look / take some pictures and use some iniative to fix it..

righto well i will take a look at it this weekend and give u the updates.

i jus checked out the switches, the rear right has still got spring in it but the other 3 are stuck so they don't spring out when the door opens, i tried CRC on it but they have no spring at all what so ever. so i kno the rear one is buggered cause the good one has some spring....

Time for some new switches then, Find some similar ones at a wreckers or fit a generic off the shelf type..

yeah thats what i was thinkin, i got a parts corolla arrivin this weekend so hopefully that will have good switches along with other parts i need, otherwise I'm gonna have to somehow get to a wreckers
