AJC Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 Hi All, Just wanted to check before I bought a set of front bearings. I have a ke10 with drums on the front. I have a set of ke20 discs backing plates etc.... to do the disc conversion. So question is this - Do I buy a set of ke20 bearings or ke10 or a mixture of both. From what I can see in the catalogue the ke10 and ke20 (for disc front ends) appear to be the same dimensions etc.... :lolcry: Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Anthony Quote
thomo Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 same bearing bolt holes on the backing plates are a different size, apart from that stubs are the same Quote
AJC Posted December 23, 2007 Author Report Posted December 23, 2007 Thanks for that. Thought it was worth checking before buying them. Quote
Felix Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 (edited) Yep, use the ke20 disc brake bearing kit. The bearings are identical to the ke10 drum ones, just the seals are different for discs. I've replaced the bearings on both my ke15 with ke20 hubs and ke30 discs and my ke16 with ke20 discs in the last 3-4 months. I used ke20 disc brake bearing kits.
