280zx Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Gday guys, Can anyone help me with this problem. I just got myself a gearbox for my 4AC corolla engine. I was told that it was from a 4AGE. But i don't know what one. On the gearbox case there is stamped 80222215 under that is 27 and on a bracket there is 5-16040. What i need to know is if it is a LSD, What corolla it came from and if anyone knows what CV shafts will go into it. Here is a Pic of it Any info would be great thanks heaps Quote
MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 hmm hard to tell by just looking at it. but if it is off a 4age then it will most likely be a C52(as its the most common g/box on a 4age) and no it wont have LSD as for shaft any from ae82/92 with a 4age will fit I'm only having a guess here because it hard to say which g/box it reall is by just looking at it Quote
towe001 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Try more likely a C50 g'box. Didn't the C52 have two starter motor humps and the drive shafts hook up differently in the box Either way it's not from the MR2 so count yourself lucky there Quote
MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 well heres a c52 from a twinky only one starter hump Quote
280zx Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Posted January 4, 2008 gday guys, thanks for your help  it does have two starter motor humps. So would that make it a C52? i will throw up a few more pictures when i get back from work. Quote
towe001 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 C52 from the AE102 or AE112 Was used on the 1.8litre models (well thats the aussie stuff anyways) http://www.ae92gts.com/ae92gts_start_reloc.html Quote
280zx Posted January 5, 2008 Author Report Posted January 5, 2008 Cheers Does Anyone know if any other toyota has the same splines but with a longer shaft length? I heard somthing about some V6 Camery having a similer spline but i don't know how true that is. Quote
