Suspension Mods For My 55

hey all, I'm just wondering what i upgrades i can get all round to get my car nice and stiff for sliding??

stiffer spring, coilover kit if you wanna go that far, re-set leaves, ae86 adjustables for the back, and aw11 adjustable with a spacer for the front.

Might wanna get stiffer sway bars too.

ae86 rear adj's fit a ke55, thats what my TRD 8 way's are.

 

aw11 mr2 shocks are the right diametre for a ke55 strut tube, but a bit short in the body of the shock so you can just space it out with some washers. :wink:

so i think got it lol prob not thou, good stiff, lower springs for the front with spacers for my rims?

Re set leaf springs so that are stiffend?

Not a spacer for your rim...a spacer for the fact that the shock isn't as long as it needs to be.

 

Reset leaves will make the car stiffer in the rear yes...Depending what year model KE55 you have, it may have a factory rear sway bar, that you can upgrade to a larger diameter one, failing that after market sway bar in the rear, and thicker one in the front

i ahve 79 model, pretty sure i dnt have a factory swar bar. well i no what I'm getting now after my new clutch and hopfully 5speed on friday

Nope 79 model wont have one, more than likely.

nah its just a street slide for now, i was looking for a flaty front 70 but pretty hard to get u gotta be quick and i have to sell the 55 to buy one so.
