ae174agze Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 3k probably wont be enough because you need a fair bit of custom made shit mounts engine gearbox crossmemebrs then theres rego insurance engineering that sort of shit 3k's probably not enough Quote
YRO11N Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 the price isnt really a worry i could go to about 4k but the engineering side is easy and rego is too what do you think the cost and time would be or am i better off going 4agze maybe sr20 Quote
billyrock Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 there is a loop hole in car regerstration in vic it states that 'any vehicle modified after regerstration is purly at the risk of the owner' in other words get it registered then change the motor and just make sure u don't let the reg runn out or get an un-roadworthy Quote
Rollaboy2608 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 there is a loop hole in car regerstration in vic it states that 'any vehicle modified after regerstration is purly at the risk of the owner' in other words get it registered then change the motor and just make sure u don't let the reg runn out or get an un-roadworthy Given the fact that he is in the ACT that doesnt really apply here. Do some more research, there are plenty of rollas out there with rotaries in them. As for your 4k, double that and you should have enough to do the conversion properly. A standard 12A is not very powerful, to gain any benefit from this conversion, you would really need to do some work to this motor to get it moving. Unless you are planning on turboeing it, start with a platform that already has more power from the start such as the myriad of Nissan motors available or from Toyota for that matter. Quote
wasfishing Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Save up abit and get a mildly ported 12a with a weber to match will make plenty of power for a ke70, ive got a extend port 12a with a 48 side draft and it made 100kw. and that loop hole u talk about I'm guessing would also void ur insurance so good luck if u crash, or someone crashed into you Quote
