Kanzai Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Hey guy's, I'm 14 and currently in the market for my first car to start building to have something decent by the time i get my L's. I've been steering towards a KE70 as i really like the shape of the car in general and there seem to be alot of modifications out there available for the cars. My main question is, what sort of price will a close to stock KE70 be? I'm not looking at spending a awful lot, just enough to buy me the car with maybe a set of wheels, other than that I'd do the rest myself. I'd preferably look the square front (I'm assuming that's what it is, without the headlights slanting forward?), i prefer them over the other style of KE70. Any help would be appreciated so thanks guys! :'( Quote
4DRFRK Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 std i wouldnt pay anymore than $1500 although i did nearly pay $2k for a overrated one myself recently (overrated 30xxx original km's) the only reason i didnt is it sold between me leaving home and getting there Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 just depends if your lucky or not, some times people basically give em away and some want a bit for them but they've been goin on ebay for about $200-$1000 in all sorts of condition!! Quote
h1_roll4 Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 definatly depends on the person selling it i paid $1200 for a sedan and my $350 for one of my panel vans. both run fine, licenced etc. Quote
Kanzai Posted February 17, 2008 Author Report Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks for your replies guys. I've been looking around at pictures on the forum etc and i have noticed, deep dish wheels seem to fit KE70's very nicely. What modifactions are needed to fit a decent set of deep dish wheels? Quote

You will need to get the wheels, the tyres, then put them on, jam an old shocky or suitable strong steel tube into the gap at the bottom and roll it through, over the tyre. If this doesn't bend the lip up and outwards enough you're going to need the help of a panel beater, or some flares. If you get 15x7s, you will need an offset of about +4 to +10 to fill the gaurds pretty well completely. I have some +1 offset 15x7s and they only barely fit with a fair bit of bending and bullshit.
