love ke70 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 could easily be standard, looks more or less like most clutch plates Quote
superbmobile Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 my 71 had a repco clutch exactly like that one not to sure if it came stock or it was a replacement some time during its life? I think the reason why your clutch has the irregular paint work on it is because this clutch has got extremely hot at some stage in its life. I had a extreme organic heavy duty in my 71 after my repco one had died and when i pulled the box off again my clutch had these exact particular marks like yours on it. Has this clutch been abused at any stage in its life? Mine had been abused regularly and got hot often .so maybe the same or similar thing has happened to your clutch ,probably the reason why its has these marks, this is just my opinion but i could be wrong though.
