KE ping it real Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I just aquired a 4K engine which is currently running a bit rough so i thought i would pull out the spark plugs for a look see When i unscrewed the plug, the sleeve/surround came out with it Is this normal? If not does it need to be fixed? How? And also, i want to get a good set of plugs to suit the engine specs as far as i know it has standard internals except for the cam, twin dellortos & extractors Any reccomendations for plugs would be appretiated Cheers - Andrew Quote
Raven Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Yep, totally normal for them to come out. They have a rubber O-ring just under the lip. Make sure that your spark plugs are in before you do an oil change, otherwise you're going to fill up the piston bores with oil and that motor wont crank over. Quote
