so i figured out what is happening.. when i push the clutch 3qtrs of the way everything is fine i can get in gear allof that but wheni push the clutch in all the way it engages abit  why would it all of a sudden be doing that and how could i solve this thanks

You said it was empty? the reservoir? and you topped it up? Saying that, it was bone dry, obviously its leaking from somewhere. Have you inspected the clutch master cylinder? Slave cylinder? And clutch hoses and lines? When you filled it back up again, did you bleed the clutch system? Sorry for all the questions but it needs to be narrowed down,
