Thanks SuperJamie for you help, i'll drop the oil some time and get that pennzoil or penrite? On the Penrite website they reconmend HPR30 for a 1200 3K would that do?

Jamie recommends Pennzoil, however if you choose Penrite go with the thicker HPR40. You want to use the thicker stuff as your have issues. As Felix says, in the long run you're going to have to do the stem seal at some stage.
