having problems with clutch cable atm.

 

 

can't seem to find how it goes, i got some pics so maybe someone can help.

Number 1 seems the obvious spot for the clutch cable to go thru, but that means it has to bend sharply to reach top of pedal (number 3)

Number 2 seems right for it, but the rubber cup bit the cable go through don't fit in in thaat hole. I'm lost. very lost
