Jono.B Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 (edited) Hi guys could someione please help me, I'm having trouble with the idle on my 4k. currently it is stock except for full exhaust twin carbs and extractors. The trouble i am having is that the idle will never stay at 1 point it seems to stick when i rev and then will randomly drop down when it feels like it, usually very inconvenient times. first i thought it would have been in the throttle cable or linkages but its not, then someone said it would be the dizzy balance weights, so i fully stripped, cleaned, greased and rebuilt my dizzy, now the revs don't stick as frequently but everytime i turn the idle down, when it does its random drop to what i presume it should idle at it just stalls because its too low. The idle is set for around 5-700 rpm, but it sticks at around 1200 rpm which wastes gas at the lights and pisses me off. sorry bout the long post but I'm getting real annoyed by this now. HELP MEEE!!!! Jono Edited August 10, 2008 by Jono.B Quote
