I have put in a new intrament pannel (I.P) , and dash pannel.

I drove round with this I.P for a week all was fine (exept the adomiter doesnt work-don't care).

Now i have fart ased around putting in my sterio and trying to make it fit.

And now all the warning lights and guages don't work. inc Charge, Oil etc :)

but the right hand indicator works (on the same lume)??

 

I have tested using the old I.P and still doesnt work.

Got a test light out even. and no signal.

I don't think i have unpluged anything acadently that i can see.

 

This has been frustrating me ALOT as i have been tinkering with this for many hours.

Love to have some pointers

I have fixed the problem :) after many more hours. ;)

I think it was the plug that goes onto the back of the dash. the contacts were pushed in and wernt doing anything.

Now my temperature gauge doesnt work, wich is REALY bad in my car (read my other thread about cooling problems)

Gahhh it never ends.

Temp circuit is a really simple circuit, just chase the wire back to the sender, it's a simple single wire. check its plugged in everywhere etc.

Ok. As i figured there was not much point in doing anything without the engine have any temperature.

So this evening after i went for a drive i had a play...

Hears the thing the needle moves up when the engine heats up but it only moves up a little tiny bit. And i know it is getting warmer then the gauge is telling me because the water level is getting low in the radiator (read other thread "cooling problems")

The temperature gauge is defiantly getting some sort of signal from the other end, as when i unplug it from the engine end, the needle drops, plug it back in needle moves up again.

Hopefully that makes it a bit clearer

Yes that does sound strange. I guess there is a method to your madness?

But i might try anyway, as i do have no petrol in my car at the moment.

I have filled the tank. Nothing seems to be different.

I guess you were thinking the temp and the fuel gauge were crossed or something?

And my clock mysteriously stop working the other day. Seems to be working now though.berwooo(spooky noise)
