the_random_hero Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I'm overhauling a SC14, wondering what sort of oil I should be running in it. Thanks. Quote
Jason Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I bought the GM supercharger oil. Carnt remember the price but sooooo much cheaper than Toyota. Quote
Trev Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Castrol VMX80 is also a cheaper option. Quote
the_random_hero Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 Castrol VMX80 is also a cheaper option. That's what, an 80w/90 or something? I'm guessing I'll need some sort of light synthetic? Quote
WinKE55 Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Heard rumours of it being whale oil. Me personally would go with the Toyota Oil though it isn't cheap. Strange thing is my parts interpretor rung Toyota and said the SC14 oil is new and not much has sold yet |blink| Give Toyota a ring maybe? Quote
AE80Rollaguy Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 So ill be doing my sc12 chrager oil change soon, is VMX80 alrite to use? Quote
orangeLJ Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 air conditioner compressor oil should be fine to use aswell. The holden stuff is under $50 for a bottle from memory. Quote
