November 26, 200817 yr comment_293173 nah no reason for it to be looped. perhaps the person that did it didn't really know what they were doing? Report
November 26, 200817 yr Author comment_293191 had another look earlier and its not the light to the radio, have found those wires and they still have a bulb attached. could be the clock light or the glove box light. doesnt look important anyway *waits for jynx to kick in* The guy that did it was *suppose* to be an auto sparky. by the looks of some of his handy work, there should be lots of sparky but not the good kind Edited November 26, 200817 yr by original Report

November 26, 200817 yr comment_293212 the only other thing it could be would be the dash light dimmer switch? Looks like it may well be what is called a fusable link. Can't tell without reading the wire shown in the loop. Look for a fuse out of place on your wiring diagram. Sparky may well have replaced it with a loop of normal wire just to confuse everyone. They don't usem that much these days but work on anything English or Japanese manufactured early to mid 70's and you'll knowem... Also is it powered or unpowered? Should be able to trace it to a few likely culprits and grab yeah trusty multimeter and confirm which it is. That should give you a clue, or at least find what bus it's attached to. December 9, 200817 yr comment_296598 I'd say it's for some sort of switch that the sparky has bridged. Pull one of the spades out and see what doesn't work. Report
