Hi guys I am having a problem and it is driving me crazy.

Ok I have power to the coil but I have noticed that it has power to both negitive and positive (my tester is lighting up on both sides)

what does that mean?

something may be wired up wrong, might be handy to check a sevice manual if you have one for a wiring diagram, if not try on here maybe? never looked for wiring for KE55 tho so I'm not sure hey

From memory there should be two wires on the positive side of the coil - one going through the ballast resistor (about 9v) and the other from the key (12v) which should only be powered when you "hit" the key

and only one wire on the negative side which goes to the dizzy - unless you have a tacho hooked up which should be on the negative side as well
