Hey guys, i've got and Ae71 auto and gonna convert it to manual as i'm doing a 4age conversion... want to know if sprinter pedal setup will fit?

And if anyone has done the conversion themselves would like some help...

Yes, it is usable, but will require mods to fit. An AE71 cluster is the way to go if you want a bolt in conversion.

Well I do not know how to use a sprinter pedal setup, however....

 

If you search this topic you will find someone has laid out all the information for you in perfect working order and this is what I used to do mine.

 

In all honesty as much as they are hard to find, an AE71 Manual Pedal Box is the way to go as it is a full bolt in affair.

 

If you get stuck with it, PM me and I can give you some pointers as I have done mine just recently. I used the factory pedal box though.

thanks bud... what state are you in! yeah i'm gonna source out a Ae71 setup... i gotta get a selector as well. as the box i bought doesn't have one :-(

Get a T18 pedal box mate, easier to use than an 86 item

what is the difference between ae71 auto tailshaft and an ae71 manual tailshaft? is it just the end that connects to gearbox? like the little peice that sits partway in the gearbox? next to i think its called the uni joints?? could be wrong

hey mate i looked into 86 wen i did my conversion seemed like a fair muck around so i waited a while just sussin every wreckr around till i found an ae71 manual box and it seriously took me about 10 minutes to put in so if u have time id say shop around..

when i did my manual conversion in my ae71 i used a ke peddal box and i had to pull half the dash apart so it aint a 10 minute job!!!

agreed, just put my ae71 pedal box in my ke70 last weekend... have to pull cluster surrounds out, cluster all the steering column plastics and i had to drop the steering column to get mine out!! all up it took about 3 hours!! but yeah get an ae71 setup mate would save alot of time
