aii2kaii Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 (edited) hi guys. i have a Toyota Corolla SECA CS-X 1990 with the 4A-F carbed engine. Just recently i found video of this cars exhaust. The guy that installed the performance exhaust on the SECA claims that: "The engine wasn't designed to have a cat in the exhaust system, so it gains about 15 horsepower(I am not making that shit up). The power gain after removing it was ridiculous." I'm wondering if this is true before i do any exhaust upgrades. Is it illegal in QLD to not have a catalytic converter? Sam_Q Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 he needs a good slapping, you will only get very mild changes from an exhuast on that engine Quote

MYSTIK[RL] Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 no, but it will get you a pretty hefty fine though :P Quote
Sam_Q Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 well nothing big if at all unless its colapsed, the best bet is to get your whole system done at once, its pretty easy for a car like yours Quote
