love ke70 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 eh eh eh i might do that, but my ke70 wont be a peice of puss when its done, but most 4ks still will be a 1300 pushrod motor when people are done wasting money on them :bash: I'm just offering off-topic advice, because on this forum alot of people like to make out the 4K to be a monster. yes they can be quick in a corolla, but alot more fun can be had for similar cash with a modern motor. or you can just spend silly amounts of money... :$ Quote
philbey Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) Yeh, i was just poking fun mate. I built my 5k because I have some strange affection for 'em. Plus it's all a good joke, because it is a poxy little pushrod motor. But you're dead right, people do have these grand ideas about how much power a k motor can make. altezzaclub Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Well, 65bhp to start with, so 85 or 90 is easily attainable, but to get the modern 100bhp per litre is pretty unlikely... There are so few new rear-wheel-drive cars with 1600cc or under that its not worth getting too serious! I was thinking Mazda MX5 as an alternative to doing up the K engine... Quote
love ke70 Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 65 is very optimistic... look at what some people are making at the tyres and corolla drive lines are pretty tiny... i was just messin around too :bash: Quote
