wyldephyre Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 (edited) Hi, every body. The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety QLD are doing a survey on the effectiveness of violent ads regarding road safety. http://www.qut.edu.au/hlth/carrsq/roadsafe.../roadsafety.php Please go there and let them know how you feel on the subject. Related link: CarrsQ: http://www.carrsq.qut.edu.au/ Edit: Warning: Survey is a bit long... Edited May 18, 2005 by wyldephyre Quote
Ruts Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 Wow it is long - would suck on dial up even if it is very text based Seems longer because it is so dry too i think Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 don't drink and drive or you will run into a parked truck and your relatives will exhibit very poor acting ability Quote
wyldephyre Posted May 18, 2005 Author Report Posted May 18, 2005 They did a similar study on the speeding ads, and apparently, they worked on women, because it made them afraid, but blokes just thought "it would only happen to someone else" Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 apart from the fact that the ads don't really apply to me, because when i have to drive i have ONE drink at wait at least 90 minutes, or don't drink at all - i fail to see how running into a parked truck warns of the dangers of drink driving. unless i'm mistaken, the real danger is colliding with other moving motorists, pedestrians, or running OFF the road Quote
