juniorrowe Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 as the description says, i have a 1st gen rx7 axle that i would like to run on my ke30, that is running a 13b turbo, please let me know if it can work :D i work alone so it would save me some hours :bash: Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Don't bother. :bash: An RX7 diff would only be slightly stronger than a KE30 diff. Both the centres and axles would be only say 10% bigger. For 13bt power you need to be looking at something like a Hilux conversion. Frankly I don't think I'd even try putting that power through a T series!!! :D Quote

Taz_Rx Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Oh. You could possible get away with running the standard width Hilux diff (I'm assuming you still have hiluxs in Jamaica?) if you choice the right model, and then used an appropiate offset wheel. Alternatively, maybe a trip to the local wreckers with a tape measure would be in order. Surely you'd have some " Yank-tanks" there that would have decent sized rear-ends. If you really wanted to use a mazda diff then the only one I would use would be a 13b RX4 diff. It has to be later '75 onward model that had a factory fitted 13b, otherwise it'll be the same size as an RX2/3 or gen 1 RX7. Would probably also be slightly wider than a ke30 so again choose your wheel offset wisely. :bash: Quote
