Weber 32/26 Installation On A 3tc

Can anyone help me out?

I have the carb just wanted a few pointers before i dismantle my DD over the weekend

 

It's a common enough swap i figured it could use it's own thread :)

the webber wont just go straight on mate it will need an adapter plate you can pick up from like autobahn or somewhere like that it will make a slight difference but it wont be like a huge difference

I've got the adapter plate and air cleaner... Linkage looks like it can be made to work

I ripped out everything i could trace back to the EGR system

not sure how to go about hooking up the choke or the PCV system

anybody have pictures of their setup?

It's on and running but idles at 3000rpm and backfires through the intake as i haven't touched any screws yet...

 

I can't start tuning it without the choke hooked up... can't find anything online about how to go about it and touching the stock connection to various pieces of the choke while reving doesn't disengage it.

 

Anybody had this problem or know how to hook it up properly?

What kind of choke is it? Manual, electric or water?

 

Why can't you tune it without the choke hooked up? Keep the choke fully open (off) and let motor warm up, then tune it!
