7k Efi Manual

Hello and thank you for reading my topic

I am an automotive enginering teacher from The Netherlands, currently I am working on a project in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The aims of the project are to increase the level of knowledge of both students and teachers at a small regional automotive school. The education here is quite poor. Just a little example: about 80% of the people here drive a Toyota (wich is a good thing of course :worship: ) of which about another 80% are equiped with a 7k EFI engine. Originally that is, because most of these cars have been ripped of their EFI because there is no knowledge of how to overhaul, maintain of repair them. Therefor I am now working on a simple training module to teach people here how to work with this engine. I already arranged a beautiful EFI engine running stand which is really great!

Now my actual question: in my race to find a proper manual (which was not included) I came across this forum. Unfortunatly this link: http://www.rollaclub.com/hosted/7KE-manual.pdf doesn't seem to work anymore. I really wouls like to have this manual for the use of for example wiring diagrams. So could anyone please repair the link, send the document to me of know of antoher (working) link?

:y: Thanks a lot guys!

Greetings from Sulawesi,

Hi Mr. Diederik Hagen,

I am from Indonesia and I'm glad to hear that you have experience training teachers and students in Indonesia. I recently bought a Toyota 7K-E, which is known here as the Toyota Kijang Krista EFI 1.800 cc year 2000. I'm experiencing a problem with idling where the RPM goes up to 2000 and then drops, revs up to 2000 again, then drops, and so on. This doesn't always happen, but it's usually triggered after a long run (like on a highway or climbing a hilly road). Sometimes it occurs just when I warm up the car. I've replaced the ISC actuator/valve twice, but the problem persists, so now I have three ISC actuators.

Do you have any thoughts on this issue? Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Hi Diederik,

Thanks for your enquiry post.  I went looking through my collection of K Series manuals, which I have accumulated over the years, but unfortunately, I do not have the 7K EFI one.

There is a "flip the page one", at the following link, which may be of use to you; although I'm guessing, You would like pdf version, so you could print out pages; only relating to a particular subject or topic.

I'll keep looking, & if I come across anything, I'll drop You a note, on this thread. I have a 7K EFI manifold setup here, that I've mated to a 5K engine.  However, it is all going to be controlled by an aftermarket ECU, so I don't really need the manual or wiring diagram.  Of interest, is the fact, that the idling air control valve did not work, & was beyond repair. I actually found a brand new one, still in a box, on a UK website, at a bargain price; as it was a Toyota original, & not an aftermarket replacement part.

The 'Shopee" website in Malaysia, appear to have these for sale.
