just wondering what to do?

I'm buying a 2T-G and i'm going to make it into a 2T/3T-G hybrid,

I've got the option of getting a (plenem ?) and 3T turbo manifold

OR twin webers???

 

1. If i turbo it, i have to stuff around with efi and all that stuff that

comes with putting a turbo on a car (old car)...

 

2. If i put webbers on it, i've already got extractors and i will

port & polish head, polish crank, balance most stuff...

 

I'm thinking more along the line of the webers cos i'm going to be

making my 2door rolla twin turbo, so i'll have the best of both worlds.

you also have to engineer turbo and efi upgrade (unleaded filler neck, etc) and will have to upgrade front brakes, and you'll lunch stock diffs pretty easy

 

sidedrafts bolt on and you install a fuel pump and pressure reg and you're away

 

but there's also a huge power difference. it depends how far you're willing to go, each has its good and bad points

Yeah i beleive taking the old school route with the webers would be easiest and probably not cost you as much as computers, turboes etc. can get pretty expensive but there would be a massive power difference between turbo and NA

yeah I'm not to fussy about the power difference...

 

power = money

student = not much money

 

It should still be better than 2T and fill the engine bay a bit better.

mmmm brain wave, what about carby feed turbo?

a cheeper option and no f#*king around with efi, etc

I was thinking along the line of a CT-20 or CT-26

and a weber or something?

on a budget, you'd set it up draw thru, so basically it's just like having a larger engine behind the carby. a bit fiddly to setup but still do-able
