  1. Hey mate, 7A idea sounds sweet but will the DCOE40's be suitable still or would you need to change to 45's?
  2. The "gap" is because they are progressive rate springs.

  4. Hey mate I think you've made the right decision to go with a k-series motor. I have a warm 5k in my ke20, fresh rebuild, mild cam, twin dellortos, extractors, exhaust and it goes quite well considering it hasnt cost all that much to build. Best thing is it wont break diffs like a 2-tg would. Good luck with the build. Justin
  5. I think i saw them on US ebay once. They are a 7-inch standard size so shouldnt be too hard to track some down.
  6. Unless the rain clears up, I can't see the jamboree being run either. Doesnt take much rain to close the drag strip.
  7. PCD is wrong for a start for a ke20 bud. ke10-ke25-4 x 110 ke30-ke70-4x 114.3 ae82 onwards i think are 4 x 100 and fwd offset
  8. Thats not good news mate. My friend contracted it about a week before easter and he was in hospital 3 times over a 2 week period. He is only just getting back on his feet now (some 3 months later). Probly not what you want to hear but your going to have to stick this one out. Best of luck mate, ill health is just crap. Justin
  9. I've got a decent condition rhs pv tail light here at ipswich if you want to come get it. $10 its yours.
  10. Hey mate I think you might have clearance issues with that setup as there isnt much room to play with at all in that spot. it would depend on what filters or trumpets you were planning to run Definently interersted to see how you go though Justin
  11. lol thats alright then. Keep up the good work Justin
  12. Hey mate Not having a go at you but I'd be seeing if i could get a new TOB as that one looks pretty corroded. I'd hate to put it all in to have to get it all out again just to replace a TOB. Justin
  13. Sorry mate, its not for sale.
  14. Hey mate Sweet looking carbs. Are they brand newies?
  15. Late model ke25 have that grill, infact theres one in my backyard as we speak.
  16. Wow, congrats mate. That's a freakin' sweet prize.
  17. I've heard they are a bit harder to get parts for than dellortos/webers. Keep an eye on ebay twin dhla 40 dellortos regularly go for <$250. What are you planning to put these on?
  18. Why would you ring them when its been stated elsewhere that you can get them 50 bucks a wheel cheaper elsewhere. Bob-jane, quick-fit, pretty much every tyre and wheel shop sells them new. My 13inch x 6's were only about 120-130 each if i remember correctly.
  19. I already have a "redtop" head, so I'm going to use that with the "bluetop" bottom end. The one at the wreckers is a redtop head on a bluetop bottom end anyway so someones obviously changed it at some stage. Apart from the oil squirters, is there any other differences between the two?
  20. The sprinter is the coupe, Des's is a 2-door sedan. They also came out in 4-door sedan. That was overseas though. lol i guess thats being a bit pedantic though.
  21. Thanks mate, Its definitely an 8 bolt crank. I'm thinking of just using the whole injection and manifold off a smallport as there is a few at a wreckers i know of.
  22. Ok after doing some more research today, Ive got a "small" crank. The one with the 40mm bearing. So that leads me to think i will need to use the big port rods and pistons so i have the correct gudgeon pin size as on billzillas site he says the later style pistons ie small port have a 20mm gudgeon pin compared to the 18mm of the bigport. So I'm thinking big port pistons and rods for the bottom end and the smallport head with smallport inlet manifold, injectors, rail etc. I take it the smallport computer wont have a problem if the compression ratio is slightly different to the standard smallport block by using the bigport bottom end. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me.
  23. Maybe put the camry plates on the race rolla. lol. ;)
