Hey guys I've had a set of twin dellortos on my 5k (mild cam, head shave, extractors, mild port job) and recently pulled them off to fix the air leak between the manifold and the head. The manifold was faced as well so shouldnt be warped. So basically i have a couple of questions. 1. What sort of bolt have you used for the front and back as their is sweet f^&* all clearance? So far ive tried using an allen-key bolt and used a sawn off allen key. But this doesnt seem to be a very good solution. 2. Has anyone else had a similar problem where the manifold just won't seal and how did you fix it? 3. any other tips for setting up twin dellortos? As it is I'm thinking the head may be warped and will possibly need facing but id prefer not to remove the head. Thanks Justin

Don't be put off mate. Their is a couple of guys on here with straight 6 conversions in a ke20 so anythings possible really. mmmm 2jz power would be sweet!

Hey mate just a question whats the point of having 8" wide wheels with 195 tyres? I have 185's on a 6" wheel. Wouldnt it be easier to just go with a 6" or 7" wheel and have the extra clearance?

Yeah they also are a rare spares agent which is handy.

I have had both su's and dellortos on my 5k in the last 12 months. The su's were good but compared to the dellortos they had nothing. Trust me you will be disappointed going back to su's.

Its pretty straightforward, the only thing you need to do is cut them a bit shorter.

Jackson's foam and vinyl out at raceview have all sorts of different clips.

Have you got the chokes hooked up? My su's would sometimes crank over like 30 times before it would fire in winter. Best thing i did was get a twin choke cable from a mini and after that no problems whatsoever.

I have a 5k in my ke20 and it was mod-plated but not sure if it is needed for a 4k.

I've been told the OEM denso coil is the one to use. But saying that i've never seen one and I'm really not sure which bosch one (if their is even one) that you can use instead.

This has been covered many times. But anyway black wire goes to -ve side of coil and black with orange stripe goes to +ve side of coil. What sort of coil are you using? Their incredibly easy to wreck if you use the wrong coil.

I have also driven said vehicle so long as GT3 counts haha. IT even wheelstands and goes to 1000 km/hr
