Taz_Rx Posted October 19, 2009 Report Share Posted October 19, 2009 Take the backing plate off your diff and have a look. There's a shim on either (outer) side of the bearings. These allow you to move the crownwheel closer or further away from the pinion by the thickness of them. rob83ke70 Posted October 19, 2009 Report Share Posted October 19, 2009 have a good look before taking it apart, if the play is in the differential gears not the crownwheel and pinion, you can buy new gears to replace them and take the slop out of them...
