eiriksmil Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 A buddy has a T25 for sale.. I know turbo 4K is highly debated and some are against it for several reasons, they prefer a 4A-GE or 2T swap (fair enough), they say at least get the 4K-E (?) with EFI from Japan, counter flow sucks for turbo building because of space issues, etc. I want to give it a shot though, and as half the fun of being boosted is running a huuuuge IC and a loud BOV, draw through is out of the question.. So, how would I seal and pressurize the 4K carb, are there any kits for this? Or could I perhaps use a carb from another car? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) You can either make or find a suitable carby "hat" with an inlet to boost it with - Try finding one from a 4k/5k liteace Or, fully inclose the whole carby in some sort of box. Click "tar" in my sig and you'll see the pics of "neds helmet". Oh, you might not know who Ned Kelly is if you're european. Edited December 2, 2009 by Taz_Rx Quote
philbey Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 where are the fuel bowl vents on a 4K carb? I'm guessing alongside the throat so it vents from inside the factory air cleaner? I've seen people use JB Weld or similar to plug ports like that up and then tap a fitting into the top of the fuel bowl and run a reference line to the inlet. But a hat would do it anyway. Quote
