rad32 Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 now i know everyone talks about putting a hilux diff or a t series diff in there ke70.. now i was thinking if diffs can be shortened and mounts re-welded.. can i fit a s13 diff in the e7? the car has a ca18det and ca gearbox so the diff will do well in the car and will be alright for drifting. will also be able to find 1.5way and 2ways easy as there a popular car (s13) so can these diffs fit? cheers fellow rolla people! adrian Quote
Bamboo Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Hi adrian, Don't mean to stray but I will slightly. ANYTHING can be fit, it's just a question of money. If it has a solid axle it would be reasonably easy. I was down the wreckers last week and noticed Mitsu Starions had solid rear axle and rear discs. Not sure of the ratios available but they'd be cheap and some came with a turbo motor and have the same stud pattern. With diff conversions I think the things to consider are: Weight Stud pattern Ratios available Brake types. Personally I like some of the Jap vans out there. Great ratio choices (for drift stuff) super strong and huge brakes. Same stud pattern. Good luck Quote
LukeAE71 Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 S13 = Independent Rear End So no, not unless you are very skilled or have lots of cash :locked: Quote
