do i need to take the rocker arms off a 4k to take head off . just got a ke 70 and was to keen to get it ,got it home and find the head gasket had gone. :dance:

No you don't

 

undo the headbolts in right order and pull head off.

 

when you put the head back on make sure you got all the push rods in block and waiting, and lower head on making sure you get rods in propperly.

TIP, loosen up the adjusters on rocker arms first, then set valve clearance afterwards

Remember new Headgasket, and get a one piece Extractor gasket for the manifolds. they seal nicely :dance:. and cheap too. $12 i think last one was
