Awesome sounds like a very cool beast! Last cruise we did I drove my nissan as I sold my last corolla (and still don't have another) so don't feel guilty about it! More the merrier and all that. We may organise some kind of cruise before winter, possibly coast run when its not busy down that way.

Oh hai Steve :) For rear shocks many people use commodore ones (should work for the wags) part no. 343 113 I think....Approx $160 for KYB excel g. These are for lowered cars so you need blocks as well. Go to queanbehole wreckers, ask to go out back and pull everything else you need off yourself.

I used Castrol GTX 20W50 in my standard 4k's, and Penrite 15W40 in my mild 4K

So I've started looking for another corolla! Kinda bored, and old 'rollas are a good laugh. Anyone have a lead on something decent? Basically after something daily/not too modified spec. KE70/AE71, 38/55 wagon, AE86, even other toyota's such as a ra65 notch etc. Will probably change my mind tomorrow :P, but let me know if you see something I might want..

That said you should have no major issues getting it engineered. Theres no change in capacity, and the conversion uses all standard parts, plus a marginal increase in power. It could be argued its just an efi conversion. About the brakes, I think the standard ones would be acceptable (providing good condition) the engineer might suggest uprated rotors and pads. Or you could point out the specifications for JDM 86 brakes, ask if they'd be more suitable.

Yeah Aladdin, thats a fair few clicks. They still go good at that age, but personally I'd rebuild it. Rebuilding a 4age is easy! Depending what you want it would set you back $1000 - 1500 incl new pistons / bored etc. Rain is a bit crap! Rain = no work = me poor haha

Probably the only one in fyshwick I'd recommend is powatone. Good quality work, not always cheap though. Roadway does a decent job and is cheap.
