markhansen1983 Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Hi guys, I own a KE70 wagon that's got all 3 windscreen wiper arms totally rusted out. I'm wondering what the best way to replace these (and the blades) are. We have a repco and supercheap out here...would they sell generic ones? What sort of price am I looking at paying? Also, do they fit them? I can't see how to get the bloody things off.. Let me know, Cheers, Mark Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 where the arms attach to the motor there is a plastic cover give it a tug it should slide up and off pretty easy exposing a nut. Once the nut is off just give the arm a wiggle and it should pop off. If really rusty you may need to spray with wd40 overnight. Repco or somewhere will sell generic ones that will fit just ask the dude behind the counter. Or go to a wrecker. don't pay anyone to mount them, its a 5 second job. Use that money to buy a workshop manual. Quote

Now all installed- cheers for your advice and pictures. Quote
irokin Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Any chance of a part number Mark? Quote
markhansen1983 Posted February 6, 2010 Author Report Posted February 6, 2010 Any chance of a part number Mark? Sorry dude- I just threw out all the paperwork, and then did the gardening- thus it's right at the bottom of the bin |blink| All I did was go to Repco and tell them the year and model of the car, and they did the rest:) Quote
markhansen1983 Posted February 6, 2010 Author Report Posted February 6, 2010 can't remember the part number but the 2 front windscreen wipers were a generic brand that did lots of cars- ford, mitsubishi etc...it had toyota listed but only HILUX 79--85 or something. The lady at repco assured me they'd fit and they did |blink| They were $13.something each. The back one was a brand like Tekco, or Tasko or something and it was about $18. Hope that's of some assistance. Mark Quote
