SLO-030 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Hey guys, working on and been around a couple KM36's. My question is what family gearbox do they run? I know 7K-x's run a W56. The boxes are an external linkage unlike all other toyota (passenger car) boxes I've seen. (due to column shift) They have a removable bellhousing, am wondering if it could be mated up to a stronger box? CHEERS Ryan Quote
Taz_Rx Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 G series GB from memeory. Check the FAQ. These are the K-W40/50 bellhousings. :D Quote
SLO-030 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 Thanks Si :D So the KM36 (5K) bellhousing is good for K to W40/50 Would that mean the KR42 (7K) bellhousing would be the one to used for W55/6/7/8 ? Or are they both the same bellhousings? Quote
