Yeah i was thinkign they might be better for load carrying as i had seen them in a few utes.....well ford utes anyway

 

Almost all Japanese utes (Hiluxes, Couriers/Rangers/Bravos, Rodeos etc) still have leaf springs in the back, it's basically just the pretend utes like the Holden and the Subaru Brumby going to coil springs.
