True, I guess its refering to less spring 'sag' due to increased rate.

But as you say, coilovers are adjustable

Well, what I mean is you want a 50mm strut to base your front suspension on.

If you go for coilovers you can get a full kit with springs shocks brakes etc, like BC's, AJPS, plus many others, not to mention the people that do custom coilovers.

A good place to start is by reading through build threads, and see how other people set their cars up. Obviously you need to take it with a grain of salt, but its good for a general knowledge of how to go about things.

Also, does your budget allow for coilovers? For decent new coilovers and brakes it will cost around $1500.

ae71 struts have same size springs as ae86

 

not necessarily true.

 

To my knowledge, most AE86 have a smaller diameter top coil.

The only KE70/AE71 with this front spring is the wagon.
