Welding The Diff

i was just wondering if i can weld my diff with a arc welder of if i need to use a mig

you can use eithier welder... mig will be cleaner and stronger...

If your going to Arc weld your diff, be sure to wrap everything you don't want spatter on with aluminium foil, and give it a good drink of anti-spatter spray.

Also not a bad idea to remove the crown wheel. Otherwise it can get little bit of slag on it..... which the pinion won't like much. :yes:

I did mine with an arc welder and it's still going strong.
