Rollazer Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) Recently I bought a second hand Corolla car, after buying only noticed that the gap of the rear car boot is quite big. Have some difficulties in closing it down - need to apply some force to push it down. What can we tell from this finding? Is that a design defect/flaw or the car has encountered an accident before? How to check the originality of the car boot? Finally, can it be repaired? Thanks. Regards...Rollazer Edited September 16, 2010 by Rollazer Quote
clubby2084 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Bit hard to say if it's been in a accident from photo shown. I'd probably just try and adjust the locking mechenism in the boot. Maybe it has had a shunt and the lock hasn't been adjusted properly. Either the lock inside the boot has two screws to undo and adjust, or the striker on the boot lid can be adjusted. Quote
