Just wiring up my alternator into my AE86

want to make sure I do it correct

So my wires are cut, what wires do I need to buy to replace them with?

 

Where does the ignition wire go, ignition barrel? I'm not sure

this is new to me, also where does the lamp wire run to?

 

Sorry if there is information already posted on this had a look couldnt find

anything too indepth.

With mine in the 71 I did the following:

 

Ignition - Connected it to 12v (+) switched ignition.

Sense - Looped onto battery terminal of alternator.

Lamp - Connects to charge light of dash, wire should be in the engine bay by the alternator.

Battery - Connects to battery positive.

 

You can re-pin the plug using the same method as here:
